When Tomatoes Attack!

Starting week 5 of this 8 week program I'm doing and I'm super excited about the results I'm already seeing. I'm not seeing it as much on the scale but more in the way I feel about myself. I feel stronger and honestly, I'm just proud of myself for pushing myself harder then I have in a really long time. Justin even decided to join me and started in last week with me. He came in on week 4, so he definitely is at a disadvantage, but I think with my encouragement he will do great.

Harrison and Max start back to school at the end of this week. On one hand I'm sad that their summer is coming to an end and on the other hand I'm so ready to have a normal schedule and routine with them back in place. I can't believe how big they are getting and that I will have a 3rd & 4th grader this year. Oliver will start back to preschool next week and I think he is way more ready this time around then last year.

Justin and I got to do something with our friends minus the kids yesterday and it was so nice. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my kids, but sometimes it is nice to just get away and have adult time. We went on a 10 mile kayaking trip through Turkey Run and it was so much fun. I could definitely tell the difference in how lifting benefited me during this trip. We had so much fun just enjoying each other's company. We are so blessed to have these people in our lives and to get to do life with them. The only downfall to our little adventure is that Justin and I did not plan accordingly in the sunscreen department and got severely burnt.

I'm not sure if you would call this more of a lobster look or a tomato look, but in any case, it isn't a good look.
Justin thought it would be cute to add a little drawing on the picture

Wearing clothes was painful and all the aloe vera in the world wasn't touching the burn. I'm hoping that I'll be able to sleep a little better tonight and that it won't sting so much.

Last, but certainly not least, our bedroom is getting closer to being finished. Justin and I have almost completed the shiplap wall that we are doing. The other walls have been painted and the new windows and blinds are in. I am so anxious to finish the shiplap wall, because everything else seems pretty easy once it's done. I can't wait to do a final picture once it's all complete.
